I wonder if this is similar to the problem the last gen mustangs had. There was a drain hole underneath the windshield cowl where the cabin filter was. it would get clogged with dirt, leaves, etc. and cause water to leak into the cabin. Happened to me on my 05 once. Just lifted the cowl and unclogged it. Does you car sit outside a lot or is it garage kept?

I just checked out where the location of the filter is and its been moved into the glove box. Don't know if there is gonna be a drain hole underneath the cowl now but it might be worth a look. Hopefully, you won't have to remove the wipers to reach in. Maybe take the filter out first and feel around for drain holes behind it.

I just hosed down the car on that side for about 15 minutes simulating a rain shower.. not a drip of water.. go figure. If it happens again I will bring to the dealer thank you for your suggestions greatly appreciated

When you did the above exercise - was the car on level ground?

I would try it again with car parked on a slope (so rear of vehicle is sloped downhill). You may get some results since the path of the water will drain backwards towards windshield and cowling.
