Hi
I have had a problem with my car for a while now. It’s very strange i could be driving the car from cold for two hours and it’s running ok but it feels like it missing something power wise.
only to stop and switch of the car for 30 mins come back and it’s like a different car. Really responsive and powerful with a healthier exhaust note.

I have tried everything from plugs to Maf and everything else with no luck.

It’s intermittent as well which is making it worse.

however the other day I unplugged the VVT solenoids ( all 4 of them ) and started the car. It seemed to idle really smooth.
I plugged them back in with the car running and it’s as smooth as silk smooth and powerful.

it seems every time I unplug them the engine is really smooth but continues to be smooth once plugged back in.

I mean just today I tried it again and it’s like a different car. The power and acceleration is brutal. It’s almost like I have two cars.

I have checked them on FORScan and according to the computer they are running within spec.

intake is between -0.06 to 0.12 fluctuating a lot between these numbers.

Exhaust is between 20.00 to 22.00

both at idle

any chance someone could chime in ?

thanks

Coils as the get hot they will perform differently. Check them when the car first starts and about 15min after it's running
