Does anyone know how loud the YSI-B is compared to the Paxton 2200 SL? I am also curious if it would be way less efficient than the Paxton at around 14psi on a coyote at 7500 RPM. I have a opportunity to buy one but I am not sure if it makes sense. I would love to hear from you guys that run them.

the ysib really is a max effort, for 22+ psi imo.

at 14, it will be lazier in the mid range, the blower likes to be spun.

for an oil fed in the 14psi, the standard jt trim is where i would go, you can make 1000 wheel with it, but it will do a great job at 14psi as well

as far as noise, they are louder than the 2200, here is a hook open on our 2018, so you can hear with no restriction.

with an intake tube, and hood closed, it will quiet it down some.

Thanks for the input. It sounds like I might be better selling the whole kit and going turbo.

just depends on power goals, they billet ysi is a capable unit, just more than what you need for 14psi.

same thing with turbo's, you wouldn't want to put twin 67's on a setup that you only want to make 8-850 on.

or a 4.5 whipple , etc..

it's all relative to what you want to make

How would a YSI do at 15lbs wastegated? Also is the case bigger than the 2200? Will it fit under stock hood?

if you had it wastegated for about 20psi it would do well, anything bigger than the regular jt (jtb, ysi, ysib) will typically make less in the 13-15 range than a regular jt would

it will fit, you may need to remove your headlinerr
