Anyone ever see the volume setting twitch on your Sync screen? Not sure what is going on but volume will adjust itself by 1 increment up and then down at random times. I use to think it was because I hit a bump but it does totally random. At a stop, in drive, in park, freeway speed, city street speed, listening to the radio, streaming music... and it doesn't matter if it is muted or if it is turned up.

An example would be that volume is set at 18 and I'm streaming Pandora. At random times, the volume will change itself to 19 and then back to 18. And then just keep doing that at random times. My hands can be completely away from my steering wheel and it will still do it. It is always 1 increment.

Does the speed-sensitive volume control automatically adjust the sound level that way? I have mine on low and never look at the screen really. Is yours on? Your problem sounds like it's something different, by since you didn't mention it, try turning it off and see what happens.

Only other thing I can think of, other than some sort of short, is that if you adjust your volume by the knob all the time, could you possibly not be turning it all the way into the next "notch" so that if you hit a bump or the car even vibrates a little, it'll fall into place and change by 1? Like don't touch the knob at all and use the wheel controls for a day?

That was my first thought as well but it does it when I'm at a stop as well. I could be idling in my driveway and it will do it. I'll play with the speed-sensitivity settings and see if it stops it though. If it does, I would say there is a problem since it is happening when I'm at a stop or low speeds.

I'm more inclined to think that there is a malfunction in either the steering wheel or the Sync unit itself as there are other "glitches" that are annoying. For example, Sync constantly loses my Pandora as an app. So I have to perform a search for new apps through Sync every so often so it recognizes Pandora and plays it through Sync (has some nice functions when you run it through Sync rather than your phone). I'm also noticing that the voice command function is not always 100%. I'll push the button, the music stops, it pauses for a few seconds, and then starts playing music. Then you press it again, it stops the music, pauses for a long time, and then asks for a command. Glitchy stuff.
