Volts read out...

Took my mate out for a bit of a spin today, and was just checking engine data as I was driving along....

I noticed that the digital readout for volts, was only reading 12.4 to 12.8 volts:shrug:

This seems a bit low to me, I'd have expected between 13v to 14v when driving along at 2k RPM's+....

Anyone care to check theirs and report back on this thread

Depends where your battery's at in terms of charge. Mine can vary; 13.5 to 14.5 but then settles back to 12.5 (after 2 50 mile runs this morning). I think the charging circuits are smarter than they used to be.

Mine was 14.4 after start up this morning,
Then about 10 mins later it dropped to 14.2

I was wondering about that.......maybe the clever electronics, limits V when the battery is already topped up....:shrug:

I get 12.8 consistently. Went up to 13.2 yesterday for a bit?

Will be interesting to see what happens when I wire in my dash cam
