Very stupid. Was thinkn weight at that price/mfg tech point.
Clearly TE37 Volks are superior in weight and a known rugged track wheel.
BBS Ford 18x10ET43 is 20.7# @ $590
TE37SL 18x10ET39 is 18.0?# @ $?
Apex 18x10ET43 is 22# @ $264
Hard to poo poo anyone buying Apex since Apex helps get people safely out on track on a budget.
I owe 1mic an apology for failing to atriculate that sentiment more constructively the other day.

Don't get me wrong, BBS makes great wheels but being super light has never been their strongpoint. However they are huge OEM suppliers to multiple companies.

Volk, HRE, and BBS all make super strong fully forged wheels that are all very lightweight with no compromises other than price.

Then there are companies like forge star that make lightweight wheels but have quality issues..

Can you run 305's on these? I think rear might be okay but how about front?

Just thought I'd add some wheel porn to the thread. I've had two sets of wheels from the same factory as the Volks come out of. First were BBS forged magnesium 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 REs that weighed 16 and 17 lbs respectively.

The second were a custom set of 18x9 and 18x10 designed by RAC out of Florida that weighed approximately 19 and 20 lbs.

I've been lurking this forum making plans for an ecoboost with FRP shocks and BMR handling springs and have been trying to figure out a wheel and tire package that will make me happy on the street (read minimize unsprung weight). I'm thinking about 18x9 square with offset of et30 mounted with 255/45-18. It looks like the Volks are available in a wide range of specs. Could I get 18x9 with 30 to 35 offset? Which styles?

Look up the new TSW Geneva. They are similar to your photos. There is a thread on them - you have probably already found it.
I was glad they came out with this Targa style wheel, but I wish they came in 10" width.

I've had TSWs in the past ... they're a great value wheel. The Bathurst is on my list.

But I don't want to hijack this thread any more than I've already done. The Volks are a great high quality wheel. They're light, strong and are built to higher standards than most other wheels on the market.
