Whats up everyone this is for anyone looking at numbers for swaps from my personal experience.
My biggest reason in the first place to swap from a VMP Gen3 was the Belt system..... I wanted to be able to run 91 Pump (i know i know but i live in California.....) and not have to worry about the boost levels. Even on the 92mm 6rib the vmp made around 11-12psi that is the largest pulley they offer. When i was looking into a 8/10 rib conversion for the VMP it began to become annoying.... because the VMP system did not offer the Standard OD it was only 15%/25% OD system which would make the car E85 only.
I than started to look into Whipple Gen5 which even with the 10rib system offered a Standard OD and i would be able to go from 91 to E85 just by pulley/tune combo, which was great in my book.
I pulled the trigger and ordered the Gen5 with a 10rib and 150mm tb.
I was already expecting to lose TQ but i was okay with that to have a more manageable launch and roll car.
VMP GEN3 Setup
69MM Pulley
Twin 67 TB
Pmas Intake
RWHP: 904
RQTQ: 727
PSI: 17.57 -> logged by dyno
Whipple Gen5 Setup
3.25 Pulley
150MM TB
Whipple Intake
RWHP: 927
RWTQ: 750
PSI: 15.47 -> logged by boost box omega
I think my biggest take away is the amount of power it made at that boost level and how many more pulleys I can go until i max the Whipple out.
