Who has applied vinyl to 2018+ car's trunk panel ?

Specifically worried about getting it to lay down in the horizontal channels...

I did.

No problems with finger prints or scratching, easy washing.
Horizontal channel is not a big problem, if you use proper soft nylon tool to push the foil deep into channel and persuade it to stay there with short help of the heat gun.
Only one small air bubble was caught in the beginning of left channel, but it's really minor and you will not notice it without knowing of its existence.
