No problem at all Ray, I reckon that 4 digit number your talk about is your NSC. It will be something like VL** of similar
Otherwise ring your dealer as they without a doubt can give you your NSC code.
Basically an NSC is a little like an order acknowledgement number that is related to your contract.

Hi Deysha contacted dealer today he has told me build looks like happening around 16th of this month but seemed a bit clueless when I asked for vin no at this stage

I'm in the same situation. I don't have a VIN yet but the dealer has told me that it is written down as a late November ETA !!!!!!! It is all over the shop and I think we just get told a whole load of bullshit from Ford AND the dealers.

If your build date is 16th Sept, your dealer should have VIN by now. Unfortunately Deysha cannot help you unless you have this VIN from your dealer or from Ford Australia via Messenger. Send them a message.
Let us know how you go. Did you try looking up Window sticker via this link? If it's here it will be close to build date.

Contact Ford Australia (Personal message via Facebook), give them your NSC number and ask for your VIN, you should be able to get it this close to build date.

Or give your NSC number to Deysha via a PM, she is awesome in helping us all here.

If your delivery ETA is November, there most certainly is a VIN available.

Yes unfortunately Deysha can't help until you can give her your Vin. Seeing your car is scheduled for Nov build it may be too early to get from dealer. Vin usually issued a couple weeks before build date.

Have contacted the dealer who gave me an ETA of late November + Ford Australia on Facebook with my NSC and none of them can give me the VIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I give up.

We're in September though which is a bit more than a couple of weeks out. Try your dealer or Facebook in early November which would make a lot more sense.

Just because they have an estimated build doesn't mean they have a VIN. My vin was only available a week or two before the build. You've got an NSC so it's in motion, don't stress and relax it will happen.

And Deysha is a dead set legend :first:

Because you’re in Australia I need your full VIN, Daffy. The order codes given to you by your dealer do not coincide with my US order system. Hopefully I can be of better assistance to you once you are able to get the VIN.
