Given my and others experience I wouldn't suggest trying to get your head around the ordering process. I am fairly confident that even ford au can't explain it

The dealership said and I quote "we've bumped you up the list". So I don't know how that's even possible. However as I said in my previous post, Ford through Facebook did confirm a build date of June 16' based on the NSC I gave them. Anyway, I'm not holding my breath....
It shouldn't be possible, but God knows with this. Looks like I should have went to Victory instead of Sunshine (I live at Robina)! I ordered 4 Sept 2016 and told by dealer Sept 2017, and Dec/Jan by Ford. Your guess is as good as mine. Just take care with the delivery as I've seen one pretty ordinary Race Red GT with Victory on the numberplates. Ordinary panel fit in a number of places. Seen another from Victory and it was fine, aside from having fitted the hideous Ford plate brackets.
Maybe you should have. I have a suspicion that certain Dealers receive an order allotment, and as people actually order them, they are allocated accordingly. I could be wrong though.
If you wait for the dealer or ford to give you updates you'll be waiting longer than current mustang waiting times :headbonk:
Yeah I ordered in September 15 and told a build date of September 16 by dealer plus 3 months to deliver plus the 3 month for their contingency f up's and it will be March 17 before I see it. .........:frusty:......i give up........but I love the car.......HELP:faint:

I ordered at the end of Jun 2015, GT convertible, also from Essendon Ford. Original quote was for Sep 2016, then when I popped in a few months later, told June 16. Popped in a few months later again (Jan 2016 I think) to get the NSC, told Jul 16 (and then told the same from FordAU Facebook). FordAU said to contact them early April for more up-to-date details.

You will come to realise that with Ford nothing is confirmed until it has already happened
