i wonder if i get an invite from a dealer to come and have a look at one since i still have to wait 12 months

Won't be coming from my dealer, I have been very specific to say that I don't want anyone coming to look at the car prior to me picking it up! That said I am happy to show it to people if they want to see it. Just not random customers who will grip the steering wheel and not care about the car.

Your stang might come on the same boat as mine. Ford Australia said I'll have the keys on 10th of March 2016

Currently have a Ford Stock number. Waiting for Feb or March to get VIN and build dates..

I saw a white GT convertible with the rollbar option drive in moonee ponds today.
The guy had the biggest smile on his face and the car looked amazing in person!

Can't wait for March!

Though I was a bit disappointed that they didn't change the bonnet lever to the right hand side.

Saw the owner walk to the passenger side to open up the bonnet.... it was a bit awkward seeing this done.

Another one to add to this list of things that should have also been converted to RHD

Mate how come they are making you wait until May?

I ordered mine March 15 also with employee pricing and expecting mine the tail end of the first batch in end Feb to first week of Mar 16

I think because there are 5 cars allocated to employees per month. I guess i got into one of the later allocations.

I understand that employees get discounts but giving them reduced waiting times as well is a bit much in my opinion, especially seeing as though people are waiting such a long time.

It's quite actually the opposite. Ford AU employees get pushed to the end of each batch allocation. Deposit paid in March 15 to recieve the car delivered March 16. That is still a 12 month wait.

I know retail customers from the same dealership placed their order after March 15 but will receive the car before I do, which I don't mind.

It's the retail customers that will get preferential allocation over Ford AU employees.

I was told if I was to buy my second one today instead of early 2017 like any other retail customer would, I will have to wait 12 months after recieving my first car and will be at the back of the 2017 allocation which is mid to end of 2017.

So I don't know why you think we get the wait time reduced.

Plus you know most of the Ford AU employees will be out of a job Oct 2016, so a cheaper Mustang given to their employees for the loyal years they have worked at the blue oval (some up to 30-40 years) is not much in perspective to a retail paying customer.

Thats not how I read the message, that makes more sense now. I completely agree that you guys should be getting a cheaper Mustang because you are employees.

I wonder how many users here have placed an order at your dealership?
