I wish I had found this thread two days ago. I just swapped my ds back to the stock two piece ds because I had vibration with two Driveshaft Shop aluminum driveshafts, both at 45 mph. I was about ready to purchase another style ds. Now I'll have to try the hose clamp cheat.

Crazy, right? It really is because Ford balanced the factory ds and the pinion flange together so they counter balance each other. Once you add a balanced to neutral 1 piece aftermarket ds, the factory pinion flange is out of balance.

Yes, that is crazy. I swapped my ds back to a one piece over the weekend and balanced it out with a hose clamp. Took a couple of tries to get it right, but the vibration is gone.

Up next is installing a diff cooler.
