I just installed a set of 3" Vibrant 1794's on my MAK Cat Delete pipes. They are the 12" version and I was able to get them welded in before the X-pipe. I know it's a different setup, but for me it was possible. I also had to weld in two new O2 bungs because they were in the way.
For what it's worth, the bottle style resonators didn't do much to lower the volume, however it helped a lot with the rasp.
