My seats only cool the back of my arse. I was expecting the back have a cooling function also. Again this the norm or should I get it looked at. Pretty poor if that's the norm

I don't have the cooling seats option on my car, as when I read up in these forums about them, what you've described seems pretty normal which put me off choosing it as an option.

Sorry

Mine is the same.

Its a fault apparently. There's a TSB and a fairly involved 'fix', but from what people are saying, this still isn't brilliant. Not sure I'm overly keen for the local ford garage to have a go at something like this if you only get a marginal improvement.

Maybe we should get 25% refund on the cool/heat option as we are not getting the full 'back sack and crack' treatment we paid for!

There are a fair number of threads, including one on the Euro section, but this seems to be the biggest one:

It's even less affective when wearing jeans
I'm not liking where you're going with this... ;)

Not tried mine though the wife says the heat works.

To reiterate Monty, there's plenty of threads and youtube videos from the US that claim the chilled seats only freeze your ass. They are meant to chill your back but simply don't. The same seat design is used on some other ford vehicles with similar issues.

Yes there is a TSB but it seems that we're mostly stuck with it as it is

Wife needs to wear more clothes then ;).

No To be honest, most people have this same issue, and as Monty said, there's a TSB.

It's like sitting on a wet towel

I always experience something similar when using heated seats on any car... feels like you've just pi$$ed yourself or just dropped one of those dubious farts!

Good practice for the future though for the those of us slightly more advanced in the years :faint: !

My cooled seats work on my back as well as the base.

I haven't made much use of them yet but maybe summer is finally arriving...
