That's why I mentioned the wot box. It will get you more vs cobb's fuel cut implementation. If you are serious about racing it might be something to consider.
I believe the Lund Racing N Gauge can keep the throttle open with no fuel cut when Flat Foot Shifting. A friend of mine has a manual trans 5.0 and he is a very serious racer and Jon implemented that into his tune. I assume if you can shift fast enough with that set up the boost wont drop off. But that wont help you on the launch, and if your a Cobb user you have to buy the N Gauge and have Lund tune the car.

Throttle doesnt drop. Just boost cause there is no load when FFS. You need load to hold boost. If there was a spark cut and not a fuel cut you could explode fuel in the turbine housing to keep boost up

I guess everyone is ignoring the person suggesting the WOTbox. The WOTbox is an external device that allows NLS, and 2-step for launching, and it does so with ignition cut, NOT fuel cut. We use it on our BMW MT car, and it shaved at least 4/10th's off our 1/4 mile ET. While nothing will hold full boost on a shift in an MT, it holds boost very well, and this is a car making 700+WHP on big JB turbos.

Its such a simple fix. Just need Cobb to correct the code to do a spark cut not fuel. MT cars could be right there with auto cars

Perfect !!! Now there should not be so many excuses on boost dropping on the gear changes with the manual cars with the big turbos. I thank you, not cause you've helped me, cause now I will hear less complaining.

Better with a 2 step TB. It's just gonna be hard to get it to leave as hard as the stocker. I think/hope with more tuning and time you auto guys will have a nice setup. Us MT guys can't get around it dropping out if boost on upshift.

APX623/Sean, sorry not attacking you at all, not attacking anyone, just understand this is not a fit all turbo. For me it doesn't fit, for others it fits fine.
I agree with you for sure. Lil freaked out that you know my name and I don't know yours though lol.

A convertor is used with automatic transmissions and manual vehicles use a clutch setup.

And to top it off, manuals use a flywheel and automatics use a flexplate :)

For the people that have installed the stage 2...what kind of sound difference does it make? Would be interesting to hear it on a catted DP with a catback like the full face or MF or even solo. Most likely the option I would take if I got this down the line. Thanks!!

I have Solo Exhaust with a Catted downpipe, I built the downpipe and used a Vibrant GESI Race cat. This turbo is louder than the stock one, sounds more like a V8 at idle, my car is really pretty quiet, driving it didnt change much. Im not one to even care about sound the quieter the better, it dosent annoy me so im happy.

It is noticably deeper and louder exh note over the stock turbo. That is the first thing I noticed on first start up. Made me smile, I like the sound

Kind of interesting, I can launch this turbo better then the stock turbo. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to launch the stock one. This turbo I can slip the clutch and get the car to launch. *disclaimer I added a bunch of stuff at the same time that could affect this.
