I finally decided on a license plate frame. This is a stainless one that is powder-coated black. Great quality and fits perfect. Sorry the pic is a little blurry.

I didn't. It fits firm against the back and should not causes issues. At least I don't think it will.

When I detail my car, I will pull it off and seal behind the plate.

I have the one on bottom on my 50th LE. It works perfect. I put a strip of foam on back bottom of the plate to prevent paint damage

Finally got my custom plate I ordered weeks ago... Mustang is 50, and so am I this year! Also works for the 5.0 engine... Also there is a 50-50 chance I'll get a speeding ticket every time I drive this car

Think I'll wait for my black metal 50 Anniversary Mustang license plate frame to get delivered in a few days to put it on though.
