hey guys, so i bought this product from a mustang member and got it shipped to my PO BOX.
its $300 worth and he said he didnt put any insurance on it.
Here is what happend, tracking number thing on website says it arrived!
so next day, I went to PO and did get my yellow paper inside of my PO box that peope get when they got a package. I went to desk to get my package and here he comes after 5min of searching my box, " I dont see your box, other employee went to lunch and ill ask her once she get back" and after that, i had to go work and went to PO next day.
there was this lady and I asked what happend yesterday and she came back with nothing and said "I dont see your box, we dont have it" and asked couple question about how this could happend blah blah blah
so basically what she saying is we dont have it in PO, so just file a claim.
she dont even temp to help me or anything and basically blaming me saying didn i pick it up already? because what she saying is without yellow paper, you can still pick it up ( which is I think that system is wrong then? ) and when I said because I bought it from member i dont have insurance and she was like " well to bad, you lost then "

is there anything i can do about this??
from this, basically if people get package and if PO employee decide to take/steal all those packages home then customer just have to suck it up and hope/wish that they have a insurance on their items, right???

So pissed... :frusty:
and sry for my nonproper grammar, hope you guys understand it.

This is one reason I never buy anything used or from forum members because of the possibility of this happening, especially something expensive.

Good luck OP

There is a reason why when you go into almost any government office you get bad service , they don't care. There is a reason the post office has the issues that they do, they don't care. However, I would think one of them stealing would be rare. Your package was either delivered to the wrong address, which should be trackable, or the info is updated improperly which by the way happens on almost every package I have sent through usps. I hope it turns up for you

How did they ship it?

Priority Mail bearing an IMpb or retail tracking barcode includes up to $50 of insurance.

which I think makes someone at the destination sign for the package. And with that you have a better change to track it down.

very unlikely someone stole it. Much more likely its sitting at the post office, and they don't know where it is. You might try calling tomorrow and asking if they have your package. Sometimes all it takes is getting a different person to do the search.

You can file a complaint with the postmaster general. Did they give you the yellow slip back? If they did hang onto it. If not, go to the person you gave it to and ask them if they will admit to the postmaster general that he/she indeed saw that you were notified of a delivery.

You have options that don't include lawyering or giving up.

And USPS mail insurance is a joke. I lost out on $350 dollars in expensive repairs for something I had shipped (with insurance for full amount) that was damaged during shipping.

Thanks you for helping! Who is postmaster general? How can I start this??
I am about to go military legal office about this. Never been there but they do help soldiers personal problems like this.

You can google the Post Master in your area, they usually have a website with direct contact information listed. Is your post office on post? They are still owned/operated by the USPS with augmented help from military at times. They are still under the purview of the Postmaster General (the big wig that oversees all USPS).

Ha.

Yeah, this could get acrimonious. Unfortunately I don't have a good track record with this sort of thing; I eventually closed my PayPal account, switched all my parcel delivery to my work address, and don't purchase shipping through USPS if possible.

Also I will never, EVER touch a Boomba Racing product.

Fuck those guys.

Good luck, OP.

I've never dealt with Boomba racing, but I did see your thread.

Clearly the issue was 100% your fault for waiving the signature confirmation of your package and then telling the post office to leave it on your porch.

Guns don't solve everything in TX?

All jokes aside, I would be nice and ask for the supervisor at that particular post office. Maybe even write a couple of paragraphs on what happened and hand it to the person when you speak with them. Give them the to, from addresses, the emails or notifications you received, who you spoke with, etc, etc...

They must have it there.. someplace. Hopefully they can find it for you...

In the future you should request signature confirmation. Insurance is a good idea as well. Insurance and signature conf is tops, of course.

I've had mail "misplaced" at post offices on military bases before. It usually happens when they put the box in the wrong location and the person who placed it there is the only one who knows that it's there. If you have a large PO it make take awhile but someone there should be searching every package and back office since they obviously received it.
