I can't imagine all that mounting is safe for either animal be it giver or receiver. Actually what happens is that the stud is 'stimulated' 3x a day (can you imagine what the horse is thinking when he sees the vet coming across the yard wheeling his contraption behind him?) and then the ladies are artificially inseminated.

"Here I am chewing my oats an' sh*t in my stall and some damn stainless contraption is wheezing away and tickling my balls. Oh, oh OH!! Damn it, why can't I get any real b*tc^H^H^H^H mares in here and do it natural like?"
