I recently purchased a set of used wheels/tires from someone and they already have the TPMS installed and programmed for his car (2015 Mustang GT as well). I was wondering how I go about reprogramming the TPMS so they work with my car...is this even possible?

Thanks for any help :ford:

Here's a pic...so happy with them :headbang:

Does it give you an error with them? They self program so you shouldn't have to Do anything unless it's giving you a trouble code for it, if not it's already programmed.

You should be fine. Are there any warnings on your tire psi window? Are they not reading?

I bought an extra set of ford tpms for my aftermarket wheels and they auto calibrated to my system.

I can't see your picture. Many imgur photos don't come through.

The TPMS were already programmed to a different car, so when I put the wheels on my car, I get "Tire Pressure Monitor Fault" error and the blinking yellow tire light. It doesn't cause any issues other than the yellow light, which is annoying.

My question is can you re-use TPMS sensors on a different car? If so, do they have to be reprogrammed with the tool?

Fixed the pic, I think. I wonder why Imgur doesn't work on this site.

You can definitely re-use the sensors on a different car. Using the re-calibration tool might be a necessity in this case.

How many miles have you put on it?

Kinda odd though, mine didn't require the tool to work.

I've put ~300 miles on them already. When I first swapped them on, it showed the readings from my old tires but the numbers never moved. After 20 minutes, it gave me the error and it shows -- for each tire on the screen. Also gives me the blinking yellow tire light.

Damn. If you were closer I would just let you use my tool.

Have you tried unplugging the battery for 30 seconds?
I literally haven't tried anything to fix it lol.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm just going to order the tool. Light is driving me nuts!

Quick fix is to put the car in tpms relearn and reset it with a tpms tool

Amazon has it for $30 or you can stop by any local tire shop and they can do it.

if theyre OEM Ford sensors, they should sync automatically, they are probably generic, therefore youll need the magnetic programming tool
