I just recently purchased a used, unmarried, V3 Accessport.

I have a 2016 Ecoboost and I am wondering the order of how I flash my ECU?

1. Register my Accessport
2. Install updated OTS maps on to the Accessport
3. Reflash ECU on my car

Are those the correct steps, am I missing anything?

Is that the correct order?

Thank you very much!

I'd plug it into the computer and update the firmware on the actual AP itself, then just go flash the car. It'll only show the right tune(s) for your car. Pick which one you want to roll with and start flashing.

Edit: You don't actually have to register the device from what I remember, but it's been a couple of years. Lol

You will want to install the Accessport manager to your computer first.
This not only lets you transfer tunes, but like Juben said, it keeps your firmware up to date.
