Forgive me if this is the wrong forum. I bought a UPR catch can for my GT. I went for the more expensive version. About 350.00. Question is..what exactly does the filter on the driver side provide? Am I better off without it, as it's not super charged. Pic for detail. Thanks.

Prevents oil from being sucked into the intake which ends up going into the manifold, ect. Basically the driver's side is not needed unless you have a power added or are using high RPM. Driverside such in air for the motor while passenger side vents it back into the motor, so it's not a catch can on the driverside it's a one way check valve to limit air flow one way.

Thanks. Should I remove the driver side since I'm not super charged or in any way boosted? Or just leave it, no harm done?

I have the driver side too and also not super charged.
Doesn't harm, just clean it once a year with brake cleaner and you're good.
