unless you got a anal smog tester who pulls OBD2 data

But again, this would be no different than running a "true" PP3 setup directly from Ford. There is nothing a smog inspector would be able to see when they pull obd2 data from this car vs. one with a true PP3 setup.

I agree that aftermarket tunes are hit or miss when it comes to smog/inspection obd2 scanning, but the Ford tune does not have this issue and you are putting on a Ford tune.

I've dug through the two tunes too. Crazy how similar they are! How are they doing no lift shift?
Wondering if there are other areas of this ecu hptuners doesn't show yet.

My power pack 3 car had issues with idle and severe cold rev hang but even when running well it barely seemed worth it. I'd just be happy with the pp2 if you can't run a custom tune.

Would you mind elaborating on why it seemed barely worth it? Stock power in the mid range with gains only when rung out? Just curious.

Unless your constantly ringing it out I just don't think you'll feel a benefit 90 percent of the time, and possibly even have a worse experience in regular daily driving. The extra torque of the pp2 would be much more beneficial unless you are constantly racing the car in my opinion.

I ran 92 octane and had a full dealer install and it took several reflashes and ultimately I bought a new TB and MAF sensor myself after ford failed to solve the problems. They even voided my warranty over an aftermarket grille blaming it despite it having similar openings.
Warming up the car for 5 minutes in the morning I would have to drive another 3 or 4 minutes before the revs would fall normally shifting gears. The car died 4 times when returning to idle stopping at lights and once while driving. Traded it for an 18 that has the tick, couldn't be happier.

The Gen 2 with the 18 manifold is torquier than the PP3/GT350 manifold in the low and mid, and with stock cams, carries the power just as high. With that as an option, the only reason to do the power packs is for the warranty.
