I've got a 2018 EB Mustang with the basic starter mods. Rousch CAI, Mishimoto Intercooler including charge pipes, Mishimoto catch can and a Cobb Stage 2 tuner. Not pro-tuned yet, want to wait till I add a few more items. Downpipe, exhaust, BOV and Wastegate upgrades. Read many threads about BOV's and WG's but nobody comments on upgrading them both. I'm wanting to do both, but nobody ever talks about this set up. Will it cause a catastrophic failure or would it cancel each other out? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

stage 2, dont change waste gates.
I personally had downpipe, + hks nov, and cpe charge pipes.

looking back, I would not of done anything except for tune and drop in filter and intercooler. imo. everything else is wasted imo. (not really) but I dont think its worth going to that point.

What spring rate are you planning to use? And what is the advantage of an aftermarket BOV vs aftermarket bypass valve?

Yes I'm currently at stage 2, what I wanted to do is gather my parts do some more research and when everything is obtained and installed I was going immediately down to get it re-tuned. Preferably Dyno tuned, because if I install items as I get them it won't effect the performance at all. In actuality it should hurt the performance and throw codes left and right.
So back to my original question, should I upgrade both BOV and WG? I'm doing the BOV regardless, just figured if I could control the flow better it help the Turbo. And as far as the Spring goes I was thinking just 10 lbs to see how it handles it.

I'd change both at the same time. But, go with a plumbed BOV, no sense in wasting energy to the atmosphere, when you can pump it back in your system for more boost and more power.
I'm researching the same modifications. And am considering moving my BOV (or bypass valve) over to the cold side of my Intercooler to help cool my turbocharger.

I had the turbosmart blow of valve and WGA on my custom tune. They paired pretty well with eachother. I highly recommend them.

Turbo Smart 2015-2018 Mustang 2.3L Ecoboost Kompact Shortie Plumb Back Blow Off Valve (TS-0203-1281) - BOV

TurboSmart 2015-2017 Mustang 2.3L Ecoboost Internal Wastegate Actuator (10 PSI) (TS-0622-8102) - WGA

Been thinking along the same line. Even considering relocating the Blowoff/Bypass valve into the cold side charge pipe... Don't really want to dump hot air into my intake, nor waste the energy rich compressed air into the atmosphere. I've seen BOVs mounted on the cold side, but never a bypass valve. Any thoughts?

I've done the same on my Focus ST. The only real reason I did it was to gain a bit more power by eliminating the small rubber hoses and to run an aftermarket HKS blow off valve. On my 2.3 Ecoboost Mustang I ran the turbosmart blow of valve and it did the job well. I honestly just wanted to eliminate the plastic stock BOV on that car.
