Yup, jam nut. I'm going to go back in to make sure everything is positioned correctly. That damn shield, I hate that shield.

The shield was a little rough the first time because I felt like I was damaging something but it wasn't difficult. Once I came to grips with I just needed to bend it, the fight was won. For me the worst part was that damned C clip! I'd still like to know where I could get the right clip for it. I replaced it with one from Home Depot that kind of fitted.

My clip fell down into oblivion as well. A quarter inch E clip fits.

Don't worry. If you ever have dealer work and need to reinstall it again, it gets progressively more of a pita. Always do the torx bolt from underneath, so much easier.

Mine was the opposite, the second time I removed it, it was much easier. I think because it was already bent once.

THIS ^^ if only I would've gone that route,

I'm sure I have the most embarrassing end result I may be the only one who lost the fight with the shield, I ended up with a stripped torx screw :frusty: and literally had to cut the shield in half and bend it to gain access to the actuator :lol:
what a PITA
so now I need to buy a new shield unless someone here has an upgraded turbo and can sell me theirs or give it to me? (I'll pay shipping of course)
