I had the same question a while back and I think the 50th appearance package will not have the "50 Years" on it based on Ford's press release.

"The Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition will be the only 2015 model with the large faux gas cap badge on the rear fascia, with 50 Years added to the GT designation."

I expect a unique rear gas cap badge based on the 50th years appearance package (975) list:

50 Years Appearance Package
● 50 Years Grille with Bright Surround
● 19” X 8.5” Premium Painted Aluminum Wheels
● 255/40R19 A/S Tires
● Unique Rear Gas Cap Badge
● Anniversary Floor Mats
● Unique seat inserts and stitching & door-trim
● 50 Years Badge on Instrument Panel

The faux gas cap probably will not be the same one that is on the LE (at least I hope), but if you look closely at the gas cap on the DIB pics above, it does looks like there is a gas cap with GT and something else written underneath. For the Ecoboost there should be a gas cap with something on it that indicates it is different than the GT. It might just be a pony. I hope I know before they deliver my order in about 117 days (plus or minus a month.)

As if your not busy enough ;) If you could find the time to do guard metallic premium GT with PP and 50th anniversary appearance package it would be much appreciated. I'm trying to see what the front of the seats look like. Hoping they look similar to the LE 50'th edition seats just black. And maybe front, rear and side view? Thanks in advance.

I don't think any of the build angles show the seat fronts. When I had access I tried to do this myself. The is the only real picture of the seat inserts that I have found is in the yellow mustang below. It isn't very good, but if you look through the window, you can see the ponies on the seat. They look similar to the LE seats which you can see much clearer in the 2nd picture.

I see. Thank you all for your help. I am getting the 50'th package just for the interior and then I am going to change the grill an rear trunk lid back to the standard GT setup as I like those better. I was just hoping to see what is referred to as " Unique seat inserts and stitching & door-trim".

I am wondering now if this is just a pony on the seat back with the word mustang beneath it going by my best guess tying to zoom in on the yellow car. It is to hard to make out but it doesn't have the same footprint as the "50 years" of the LE interior.

Oh well, more of the unknown lol

You are correct but listed under appearance package options is

"Unique seat inserts and stitching & door-trim"

I know this is in just black and not two tone but am just trying to get a better idea of what it is.

My guess is the seat inserts may be a certain pattern and I believe the stitching it's white instead of black.

Yah it's all open to interpretation lol. The best hint found was if you zoom into the interior of the above mentioned yellow car (through the windshield) you can see a mustang pony with something written below it embossed on the seat back

I have a black 05 right now and absolutely love black & chrome. Probably my favorite combo but I am sick to death of cleaning black lol. I've had about 5 different black & chrome vehicles/motorcycles and it has ruined me from getting another. I know guard is not easy like silver to clean but I am sure it's easier than black (I hope). Also, these pics are obviously computer images and I do not believe guard is as dark/brown as these pictures look.
