Make sure you have the SCT software on your PC though.
Already done, no idea why I thought I had to have a laptop hooked up haha. Thanks for the help.

Flashed my car tonight... Torrie almost got me killed. Thanks. lol

Getting finished with my test drive, I did a 0-60 run... hit the gas and the car went sideways before catching and taking off. I was unprepared for that since it has never done that before. I need to work on my take off. Still beat my best 0-60 launch previously so I'm happy.

Outside of that, it is wonderful on the highway now. And in "S" the darn thing takes off like a rocket... you can really feel the push back in the seat now. Not sure it is safe for me to drive in S in the city.

I went through a long curve that I normally take with the gas halfway down. Not now... it was such a joy to feel it pushing through the curve... can't explain it, but it was much smoother and easier to go through. The power delivery made a huge difference.

And all of my modes work just fine.... if I put it on 65 or 70 it rides like before. Only when you press on the gas hard do you "feel" the difference. And you no longer have to push the peddle to the floor to pass someone while going 65 or 70. Press the gas and (I guess) the turbo kicks in and you have instant power. I've not tried to new top speed yet (150). lol...

I'm basically repeating what others in this thread have said. Best cash I've spent in a very long time.

And delivery took no time (order to delivery was two days). I sent the info he requested and had the flash files in my email in about 3 to 5 minutes.

Torrie,

For autos, are you making changes to shift points for both "D" & "S" modes, and what is your preferred mode?

I read through this thread again and did not see the answer to this question. So if I am repeating something please forgive me.

If I get a tune for 93 octane and someone puts in a lower grade fuel will it cause any issues?

Torrie said you "could" run 87 but he did not recommend it. Matter of fact, he clearly said if you run 87 and run the car hard (what he calls WOT) then you could damage the car.

In other words, don't run anything lower than 93, unless you must, and then be easy on the car or flash to stock until you can get better gas.

I've made up my mind to run 93... it performs better with 93 and from what I read is better for the engine (not sure I believe that 100% for the 5 years I'll keep it, but anyway....).

I would have taken a 87 tune if available, but he did not send so I'll go back to stock, if I can't find 93. It is less than 10 minutes to flash.

Thanks. I don't plan to run anything lower but the last time I took the car to the dealership for some warranty work they topped off my tank without asking. I'm sure they put low grade in but since I haven't done anything to the car I did not ask.

I'll just make sure nobody refuels my car but me. And hope I don't put the wrong fuel in before I have my morning coffee.

Ah... thanks for that... had not thought about that.

I've owned Hondas since 99 and they never top off any damn thing but your bill (to be fair, I never had serious issues with my Accords).

Ford gives you gas? Then you know it is 87... that is what they put in mine when they gave it to me. Hope I never have a situation where they have to give me free gas.

And no one else drives my car, but I can see where this would be an issue for some people. Yes, this can be a major issue for some.
