On the one hand that's good, on the other...I don't like the sound of that at all.

Happy I got mine done by Modurstang but will be interested to see your pics and compare.
I agree. Getting mine done at Modurstang rather than Ford:)

I must admit I don't understand this at all. Clearly, if the undersea is done, it should be done properly. But why is it being done at all? If in the US and Canada it isn't deemed to be necessary, where they have much worse winters with far more salt used on the roads, and a legal system that will pursue any manufacturer that builds faulty product, why is it needed in the UK's more benign (both in weather terms and legal system-wise) climate?

It was mentioned earlier that because they get proper winters with proper low temperatures, they tend not to use salt but other materials so not quite as bad for cars as the crap they use over here.

Dunno how true that is though.

According to National Geographic:

'Last year, U.S. officials applied about 17 million tons of salt to roads, says Lori Roman, the president of the Virginia-based Salt Institute, an industry group.'

This was in 2014 so I guess they do?

Edit: just re-read your post & you weren't saying that they didn't, just less. Sorry mate

Yea it s a puzzle speaking to many Americans and Canadians a lot of them have big 4x4 for the winter and the car is sent to sleep for around 6 months. Also the Canadian cars used to be Under-sealed but are not now, but the bizarre thing is for a Canadian cars, you get a $400 free top of the range car cover, but not on the US cars.
I went to see my mate at Trustford today, was there about an hour looking at mine and the Euro spec. But he told me that out of 70 Mustangs sold by them, there was not ONE that never had an issue with the paint or an alignment issue, shocking really. Asked him about the underseal, he knew zero about it, so spoke to the Service manager as the car was out of the rain in the service dept, he said that he had heard a few people were unhappy but there was at the moment nother official as far as he knew had come down to him. And he said there would have to be a lot of publicity for Ford to take notice and spend into millions on recalling every Euro Mustang. From the cars that were sold at the branch no one has complained about it, people have moaned about the paint and other issues
I think if you get a good dealership then they can repair the problems if need be, of course with the volume of cars are they going to put themselves out?
Sorry I could not find out anything more helpful
