Under hood plastic material: what is it?

Does anyone know what material ford uses for the engine plastics? Specifically for the intake ducting.

Does it take to adhesives or is it something like polyethylene that has to fused?

I've tried adhesives and none have any lasting hold.
The only thing I found to work is plastic welding.
I got a cheap tool at Harbor freight.
