UK Mustang delivery

Mines also confirmed (to be) on the Autostar leaving Zeebrugge today , arriving Southampton tomorrow.
It's cutting it fine to pick it up Christmas Eve , but there's still a chance , depending on transport in UK ...Karens said she's prioritised it ..and the dealer are aware of the potential incoming delivery .....and they need ~2 days to turn around the car .
let's see..

Dealers don't seem to have a clue when they are coming (mine didn't!). My advice to those waiting would be to get on the phone as soon as you know your car hits Southampton/en route to dealer. I only knew this information for my order through a member on this forum, had it not been for him & my follow up phone call, I definitely wouldn't have got my car when I did! For reference - mine turned up at the dealers on a Thursday afternoon, I collected Saturday morning

So mines coming over to Southampton today but my dealer still knows nothing although he is expecting a delivery on Monday then that will be it until the New Year.

He told me he has 20 Mustangs sitting around as the owners don't want them until next month. I kind of understand hanging on until March for the new reg but even tho' Jan cars are registered as 2016, they still get 65 plates.

Anyhow I took the opportunity to ask him not to put the front plate holder on. Good thing as they do it automatically it would appear.

Maybe they are really tight and don't want to tax until the start of the month (VED only goes in whole months). That wouldn't be enough to make me wait!

The first dozen Mustangs arrived at Think Ford Guildford on Friday 27 November and mine was taxed and insured from 1 Dec !!!

AFAIK there are now about 20 Mustangs waiting to be collected which to me is somewhat worrying. I love the exclusivity of my Mustang but how long should that last and how long until I can flash my lights at a brother on the road?

1st year is 1100 which is included in the purchase price.

It's just someone not thinking on their part.

Cost of the tax doesn't matter; they're not buying next year's so it's the customer that's losing that month.

Looks far better than the naff big round plastic fake filler cap.

I am doing the same, but for mine I have the Pony for the rear even though the car is a V8.

Yep, saw the Pony fake cap on an EB today @ Birmingham Bristol street, going to replace with a tribar pony decklid from one of the US models, looks way neater.
