LOL! Yeah - thought I would have one of the first in the country and be a brand ambassador. Hasn't quite turned out like that. Particularly galling because at one point EAG Dunton obviously liked my spec and ordered one of their own as a demo just like it. Probably sitting in their car park right now. (That was before I went for stripes though).

I might not be the longest wait out there. But I'd be interested to see who has had the shortest on a GT.
Have you not emailed Andy or Karen yet? You need to be kicking off about this!

I've seen some long waits and orders being bumped/not placed/go missing but yours is ridiculous!

Awaiting stripes?
I don't know what assembly off-line means on Vista. There are stripes already in the UK, see SWIMBO pic on post #276:

The US can't have run out of vinyl so it's probably the missing glovebox lid or whatever that Andy Barratt has hinted at. That and p*ss poor order management :D

I think now the car is [half] built not a lot can be done - short of the Antonov 225 solution mentioned elsewhere here!

Thanks for your support though guys

Hi Ted,

Are you a UCL winner? I only ask because I was told I was the first person to put a deposit down at Dunton - long before UCL. My delivery date is still just a guesstimate

Greg
No Greg, unfortunately it's like a lottery if you get your car , I guess I was lucky :frusty:

Kicking off might not get you your car any quicker but it should at least get you some "goodwill".
You mean like a goodwill trackday in Ford supplied vehicles :D
Or goodwill placing on the GT350 order list :D
(actually I don't think I could bear the second one )

Or get you nothing at all other than pissing off the supplier.
Rational fact based discussion with a senior manager at your supplier. List the facts and agree the facts then discuss amicable solution. If they have screwed up then they will (or should) hold their hands up and then you can move onto possible solutions. If it is Ford US that screwed up then it is difficult for Ford UK to be held accountable as they have zero influence over what happens in the US so level of goodwill available may be reduced.
Throwing your toys out might make you feel better fr 10 mins (and I have done that loads of times :headbonk:) but it is very rarely productive. Hopefully, you can get something sorted.

The kind of goodwill that requires is not the kind of goodwill a dealer would be able to provide.

I'd be emailing Andy not trying to get answers/resolutions from a dealer that is as clueless as the rest of them.

Actually, I just thought of the goodwill I would like - hood vents with turn signals :headbang:

I don't get the point of them, nobody apart from the driver can see them? Driver doesn't really need to see them, I would assume they know where they're going!
