Well what can I say, after all the wait, nerves, and worry I have finally picked up my V8 today and all I can say is its Awesome.
I was so nervous driving into Essex Ford Dunton today and there she was, in all her Black glory waiting for me.Absolutely
Immaculate I felt so proud that finally the dream was real. The concerns about panel fit, squeaks and clutch feel were quickly dismissed as I drove her back home to Kent. This is a class car and the response from other drivers was amazing. Its not light and it's a bit raw but I like that, gear change was fine no clonks or thuds and the sound of that V8, I even turned the shaker pro off on the M2 just to hear it.The seats are so comfortable and to be fair all the negative talk about hard plastics just didn't register as I believe the fit and finish to be pretty good compared to what was reported. So I'm a very happy chappy :)

Got mine now - loving it & now waiting for a slightly mild, and much less windy day to test the driving with the top down (yes I know it's December, but needs must!)

Big shout out thanks to stevec for bringing his fabulous CO V8 along for a quick cruise - loved seeing it out in the wild!

Looks great - did they wax it? looks like a really deep shine.

Agree, seats are great. I like the way it looks at night with all the ambient lighting, door sills, pony projection etc.

There are a few minor panel issues with mine, but nothing major. For example my 'hood' pinches in the middle, but I recall this is easily adjustable.

Overall - loving it.

Did you get the tonneau covers with yours? Stateside owners had to wait months for them.

Yep - safely in the trunk, along with the car cover (the shipping one - haven't had that out to look at properly yet though[emoji3])

Glad your happy with the new S550 purchase Ted, it looks great. I bought my GT from a dealership here in Kent, Washington (state) in August. Now I'm getting the mod bug which there doesn't seem to be a cure for.:D Cheers!

All went well,it's weird when you see your car for the first time and the journey it's made.If you don't want the supplied no plate fixings they won't fix your plates for you at Dunton, so I spent 15 mins fitting the back one on and left the front one in the window until I got home. That 3M tape is pretty good . Apparently mine is the second mustang that has left Essex Auto at Dunton.

Hi Ted,

Are you a UCL winner? I only ask because I was told I was the first person to put a deposit down at Dunton - long before UCL. My delivery date is still just a guesstimate

You paid your deposit January 2014?! Twenty FOURTEEN?!!!! :eyebulge:

And your car still isn't built? I would've killed somebody by now!
LOL! Yeah - thought I would have one of the first in the country and be a brand ambassador. Hasn't quite turned out like that. Particularly galling because at one point EAG Dunton obviously liked my spec and ordered one of their own as a demo just like it. Probably sitting in their car park right now. (That was before I went for stripes though).

I might not be the longest wait out there. But I'd be interested to see who has had the shortest on a GT.
