TIME FOR PHOTOS AND ANOTHER VIDEO THINGY

I actually took the initiative and recorded a video of my grubby hand over the major touch points on the interior. It is the US premium interior. We do not get the Premiere plastics.

Soft touch cowl covers with moulded stitching. Hard door cards. Premium seats. Real aluminium inserts.

As for photos:
Glass seemed to fit fine. Chrome was a bit wobbly on the driver's side. Interior was excellent. Bonnet seems pretty much level. Front splitter is from the PP GT.

And finally, my ugly mug in the driver's seat. FYI I'm 5ft 8. :)

@Ben
It'd be fair to say you're happy with it then?

I didn't know Chris Evans bought a Mustang ;)

Sweet write up!

Quick question! Does anyone know what screen you get if you don't have the Nav Pack? Do you still get the big screen?

Yes. If customer cars are at the same level of quality as this one then we all shouldn't be worried about them in the slightest. It seems all the early production problems were fixed.

Although Custom Pack buyers wont get the Premiere interior, all it would amount too is some white stitching and some softer door sills. Even the cowls are soft touch like the US Premium Pack. Seats comfortable. Shift action good (though the actual shift ball is tiny compared to my Kia! I'm gonna have to fix that when I get it) - even the leather steering wheel on full production vehicles is decent in the hand.

I'm still a little cheesed off that the cup holders are in the wrong location, but I managed it fine in my Nissan Juke so I'm sure I'll live.

Yes. You get the exact same 8" colour Sync system, it just doesn't have any maps built in or a GPS locator inside.

Also, cheeky bugger! You're just jelly of my luscious ginger locks. ;)

Awesome pictures! Though it's a crime that Benfield let that cold, brand new motor get revved so high. Doesn't send the right message!

And to be fair, it doesn't sound that great revved that high anyway until you so you do some exhaust work ;)

I thought it sounded pretty good. I'd still maintain that it'll sound fine until sitting next to a modded car.

Ah yes that's the problem - we had a mustang owners meet at our dealership when we had the yellow early build euro model, and all the previous gen stangs sounded much better next to the newer model. It's all regulations I know.

I thought it sounded pretty good. I'd still maintain that it'll sound fine until sitting next to a modded car.

Good work Ben...I wonder how many times you will go back before you get yours ;)

Video was great, answered some questions for me & I'm very happy with the quality of the interior. I know from a materials point of view it may be a bit cheap but in terms of the actual design, I don't think I've seen a better interior in a car. Modern but with plenty of retro cues - I absolutely adore it! I'm used to plastic interiors anyway! Can't wait to sit in one myself...

Were the sales folks well informed? Or did you educate them?

The video doesn't do it justice. Its a bit louder and more harmonically rich (sorry for the snooty words) than the video makes it out to be. It certainly sounds excellent. However, what happens when road and wind noise is added to the mix?

It's a demo car, it'll get way more abuse than what I was giving it. :D

I educated the receptionists, but my dealer seemed to know a little thing or two. For EG, he told me a few GTs are delayed because they were taken back to the factory because of the header issue. So I guess the headers were a last minute fix once they realised it started to burn a hole in the steering rack.

Ouch! Well that explains a lot in terms of the delays! It's good that they are getting it sorted properly I suppose but a massive cock up from a customers point of view.
