Has anybody been able to track Fidelio??...

Been checking it's progress over the last week, and it's always "out of range":paddle:

On a happier note, visited my dealer today to finalise payment & prep details :headbang:..... Sales guy was almost as excited as me.....he's sold 5 so far, but non in guard, and no autos, so says he can't wait to see my car...Neither can I :amen::thumbsup:

Cheers......I do find it strange that when crossing the Atlantic, these ships appear to head for Portugal before heading NW to the Chanel and Zeebrugge:shrug:

Maybe it's to do with tides, and weather in the N Atlantic.;)
Shipping routes and preprogrammed waypoints in the navigation, although the atlantic is huge, there is a large amount of traffic )

Window sticker is very amaericanised, there's some other anomalies in there, when ETIS updates (about 1 week after you've been built), you'll have the official list of specs, which includes Sync 2 (not 3 - boo :tsk:)
stiggy as SSC said - preprogrammed routes, lot of other boats on the ocean following certain paths etc. It's the same kind of things with planes, which, if you're travelling to florida, you'll usually go to new york and follow the coast down. Rather than going the shortest straight line route.

emailed stacey today and i can officially smile all day:D:D:D:D:D

Your vehicle is currently at Southampton.
From here it will take around 5-7 working days to be delivered at your dealership.

Not long now!

Kind regards

Planes fly a fairly straight line route, unless you're a member of the flat earth society... ;)

Great news
Though why it takes them up to 7 working days to get a car from Southampton to Plymouth is beyond me...

Well, once it arrived at So'ton port, it then gets security checked, then dealer needs to organise sending something to pick it up, gets picked up, dealer has to arrange and finalise payments etc. Also have to agree delivery date/pickup day with you etc. If it arrived on monday, chances are it'll be at your dealership by friday.

I'd recommend you call your dealer to let him know it's already there and to get a flatbed down asap to bring it up (assuming you want it asap)

Congrats though, not long now at all..

Yep just checked mine and says delivered, :)
So does this mean it's at Southampton or at my dealer? I assume Southampton

Good stuff hopefully by next weekend it will be sitting in my drive shining bright try-coat/yellowed up :) :clap2:
Just a heads up, when the dealer told me my car is now in Southhampton, I asked if I will be getting my car before mid March (the date I was told to expect my car). He said it would still be on for mid March.

Can take a couple of weeks getting through customs at Southhampton, before getting on transport to dealership (which itself can take time).

Thought they cleared customs in Zeebrugge? Admittedly I've not checked the news since breakfast but at that point we were still in the EU...

For those with a car on the Fidelio......she's just reappeared on the marine tracking website:thumbsup: and she's just off the coast of Cornwall and within a few hours will be heading into the English Channel.
