Yes indeed, really good news. So what do you reckon that means in terms of pickup date - end March / early April ?

+6 weeks from set sail date = longest time to pickup and take delivery of car.

(2 weeks from sail to zebrugge, 2 weeks from zebrugge to soton and 2 week delay in soton to dealer), usualy time is about 3/4 weeks assuming moving best and quickest.

Sounds about right to me, the delivery date the dealer's had on vista has been 4th Apr for a while (basically 12 weeks since build), don't think that will be too far out.

4th April will be skin of teeth time for me as my current car will need service, MoT and no doubt subsequent work as there are a lot of unusual noises emanating from the suspension components! Fingers crossed, I don't to be ploughing money into a car that's worth about ÂŁ1500.

I can't wait to see the look on the miserable security guard's face who loiters by the car park gate in a morning. I just keep telling people at work I've been sensible and bought a Ford. There'll be a few shocked people.

I may have just sussed why my dealer is so useless at getting back to me... Story time gents!

Called my dealer today (We'd preagreed i could choose a plate for the car when the plates came in so i'm calling to arrange this), I get through to secretary and she doesn't just put my name and surname down (after spelling it out) she also puts my phone number down with a 99 in instead of a 00 which I got corrected. I asked her to put my dealer on the phone, and, as always >BUSY<.

So literally just, my dealer called me, searches the system, and tells me no Mustang under that name was ordered (that's how I know she spelt my name wrong). I then proceed to spell it out to him, and he seems clueless about it, asks if i'd ordered through another Phil at their dealership, so i'd confirmed that it was him (Won't name names just incase!).
He checked his system, asked me a bunch of questions about my car (spec, colour, trim, extras, order instore or online (?), order date etc), and just couldn't find it for the life of him (Apparently), funny that, because I know it's built and it's waiting at the docks... Silly dealer.

Will update on whatever he says when he calls me back...If he does, or he's just now realised the surname is 'Mander' and been like SH1T, I TOLD YOU NOT CALL THIS GUY

Update: Looks like any misaligned pannels will be fixed before I pickup the car, the car will be valet properly, it'll be done in house (scared of this, but they have their own body shop, so we'll see, he's assured me all mustangs he's delivered have been spotless, swirless and without cobwebs on it).
And finally, I can go in, in march, and pick out a plate for the car.

He also said my car status is shwoing as 'shipped' and that it should be here by the end of march (you what?????), i'd told him if he can get it there for then then i'd be very happy. He also said a lot of dealers get bi-weekly updates to the mustangs, and that also, if Karen and Stacey are dealing with them, they take a bit of a back step to it... (odd).

Oh well, there's the update in full :)
