:):):)

Just got an email from my dealer - their first Mustang has arrived. Customer order...this was the email;

"Today we have had the First Mustang delivered to us. It is a sold unit, so we are not able to test drive this model and it must stay locked. However you are more than welcome to come down to view the car if you wish?

I know you also had queries regarding the number plates and stickers in the car, so I have taken photos of the car as it has arrived into us from the transporter. I must say it looks fantastic!

After seeing the car I can confirm we would normally drill holes into the car to attached the number plates, I understand you don’t want this to happen to your Mustang, is there a preferred method you would like us to use to attach the number plates?

Exciting times!"

Goes to show though that the dealers themselves have no idea what is turning up & when! Anyone guess what I'm doing ta the weekend?!

This is Hartwell Ford in Kidlington by the way
my dealer emailed me yesterday telling me that the car come with a no-drill number plate box, and no car cover, he's getting me photos of the box when the next one arrives next week

I think that the no drill number plate box means you don't have to drill the actual plate, but that the box itself would be screwed onto the car. Saw one relatively close up in Edinburgh.

This is tempting as an alternative to the Show n Stow bracket. I won't get delivery of my car for a long time but will be interested to see the most popular UK plate holder replacement being used on this forum.

Trying to order that from eBay but the guy hasn't got back to me with shipping price.
Is anyone else going to use a mechanical device like a steering lock, the bulldog one looks good.

Looked at that myself,I just wanted another form of security.
OK, if they had a grinder they would get through them but not without causing attention and setting the car alight!!!

I've ordered a Sto n sho, it will work for me until i get round to changing the splitter, then it wont fit
i'll probably end up fabricating something similar to that to hold it
