I have a 2015 LE mustang, about one every 8 weeks the backup camera doesn't work. And now the left rear turn signal one of the led bars won't light up. I did some searching and it sounds like some people had to replace the cable harness and that fixed the camera. As for the turn signal they replaced the BCM. I don't have a wiring diagram, is it possible both these failures can be fixed by replacing the cable harness?

No.

Cable harness to camera is separate from tail light harness.

Cam has to be fixed by way of the DIY threads on here that you may have already seen (or by way of a Service Appt., which the Tech will basically do the same repair).

The taillight issue could be fixed by trying to disconnect your battery cable, wait about a good 10-15mins and reconnect. Make sure battery terminals are clean and harness terminal ends are not corroded. If that does not work, as you may have seen in the tail threads, replacing the taillight is other option. It's not so much the BCM outside of the tail, but some folks have found it's an issue with the internal board in the tail assembly. No known DIY repairs for those internal boards yet.

If you need a tail, search them out in the classifieds on here or on eBay. You can source a L or R tail in the neighborhood of $150-$200 per side or roughly $300-$400 a set. Get some type of verification from the seller the tail is operational and not a dud. If you go to Ford to buy one, expect to pay upwards of $600-$800 a side...
