Sounds like they had a boost leak, but yeah it's the tune :p

Either way, I do plan on adding a mechanical valve, as the stock one sucks. It continuously opens when it doesn't need to and gets annoying. The fix is tap the throttle a bit to close it. Or, get a mechanical one.

Also, 27psi? that's scary territory.

The power gains are only had with the stock tune. With an aftermarket tune, like Cobb, there are no benefits to the stock placement BOV. The stock tune used the BPV to control torque/load to be more efficient rather than making more power. Once you put the BOV on the ECU can no longer use it, in a way that I deem negative.

However a tune, or more specifically an Accessport, should be your first modification followed by an intercooler.
