48 and I do the same thing. Not many tunnels, but even in winter, i would drive with windows cracked open a bit. I guess this is why my seat and steering wheel heaters were always on.

As I near my house, I have to go under a 5-6 lane overpass, and my road curves under the pass and is angled down.

I always open window (exhaust is always on track anyway), and downshift as I an under the pass.

I then switch to quiet mode at the traffic light that is 2 blocks away from my house to be nice to my neighbor.

I did try several times to drive with the window open, or at least partially open, just to hear the exhaust, and every time I had to close it back immediately, because the buffetting was really annoying. How do you guys overcome that?
I know it's about the speed, and that I should drive slower, but if you want to hear the exhaust sing you need high revs. And even in second gear, at high revs the speed is high enough to cause a lot of buffetting. I guess having an MT-82 D4, with its enormously tall gear ratios, doesn't help.
