Hp is a function of torque, so effectively whoever makes the most torque at the highest RPM will be making the most power. Being that it only claims 359tq on a dynojet which reads lower, I'm going to bet they make less real world power.

Livernois - were the videos posted with the 11 second runs with the old 400 something ft/lbs tune or the 350 something ft/lbs tune that is showing on your website?

Just wondering.

I don't think I can handle any more analogies, "conversational French"? "Steakhouse"? Next I'm going to hear Anselms Ontological Argument used to explain how there can be no greater tuner.

*sigh*
I like anologies, what can I say? A response without analogies would be like..........

But in all seriousness we try to make certain people can understand what is being discussed. Putting it in perspective just makes it easier for everyone from any walk of life to relate to it

Why aren't you asking any of the other vendors for their times at the strip? Only Livernois and WMS have posted anything. Everyone gets a free pass except Cobb from you. You just sound like you have it out for them, that's all.
Who else has contributed to this thread? Who else is on this forum? Unleashed is still in the development phase, what we know of Lund isn't from them directly, the Bama thread states they're working on a GT and will get back w/ us next week.

Cobb is shipping their tunes w/ no track testing and as far as we know, because they're ignoring the question, have no plans to. Comes back to selling product w/ no proof.

I know plenty of guys that have been happy w/ a modification because it increased their power by 'x'. Unfortunately they weren't aware the couldve purchased a similar part that increased their power by 'x +y' for the same $. Then they unknowingly sing the praises of an inferior product.

It's either well known and accepted or it's argued. Not both. Cobb claims to have the answer. All I'm asking for is to see the proof, multiple times now, which has yet to be provided.
It's only argued by people that don't understand subaru motors. The burden of proof is on the accuser. Please stop the pully angle. I have seen it so many times in the last few years my eyes are bleeding.

I don't follow.

I'm assuming you're mistaking that the rpm somehow reads lower? If this is the case, no, it's just the final hp and torque #s from a mustang dyno will generally read lower than that of a dynojet dyno.

It's ok. I hope to have my own letter from Subaru soon. ;)

This issue brings into question Cobbs capability to deliver, among other things.

I find that more than a little suspicious. Maybe the damage done doesn't show itself until most people have traded up or sold their cars.
They have customers that post on other sites that drive the cars daily with the max hp tune with over 100,000 miles and no issues.

My SHO which I sold recently was tuned when it was a week old and sold with 60,000 miles. I raced the car just about every weekend and drove it daily with their stage 4+ tune and drivability was great and I never had a single issue with the car. Tune only it ran 12.8's. Not bad in a 4-door family sedan.

We never attack anyone, but there definitely can be a point where we know that people have stopped listening and decide to give out bad information due to various agendas, and we are not the type of company that allows false information to be spread, and make certain that accurate information about what we do is given.

Hopefully there are open minded people here that can determine good info from bad rather than being on a bandwagon. When someone becomes closed minded, it just hurts the community as a whole. We have even gone so far as to reach out to some people on other forums and offered to pay their way to show them how truthful we are with what we say, but their own closed mindedness had them turn down the offer.

I, for one, never turn down an opportunity to learn, especially when it's free.

That's the one thing I have noticed about you guys on this thread..you always have feedback which is great it just shows you are trying your best to help the potential customer out and prove your point. Which is better than most and at least you are trying to help I like the customer service you have answered every question I have asked which is a huge plus for you guys js and others as well no matter how hard the criticism came...big thanks js lol

I have only bought the accessport from cobb. Never been very impressed with the other stuff. But i have to admit, It's hardware and software were far better and more user friendly than anything else I've seen. I understand that there is more experienced ecoboost tuners out there. I would of liked to send my datalogs to one to tune and customize for me. But I have seen what happens to the datalog hiding tuners. I would never buy a product that doesn't let me see what it's done to my new car, over one that does. Calculations or not it's still close and could be enough to save you from damaging something.

The peak torque on this vehicle is low, around 2-3000 RPM. Peak power isn't until 5500 RPM. Using peak torque to calculate peak power doesn't work, as the increase in RPM more than compensates for the drop in torque. You have to have torque readings across the entire RPM range to see who has the higher peak power. Livernois has lower torque in lower RPMs than COBB, but COBB has lower torque in the higher RPMs than Livernois, where Livernois gains their HP advantage.
