I've pretty much ready every thread on tunes but haven't seen the following topics discussed.

1) Do aftermarket tunes do any modifications to stability or traction control?

2) If I have a tune and switch to Sport+ mode, will the car seem even faster? I know the Sport+ mode increases throttle response, so will there be a multiplier effect of having the increased throttle response from the tune and the Sport+ drive mode?

lol no.. that's like saying you tune a top fuel dragster and just because someone has a sport + top fuel dragster that they will have better throttle response.

So you're saying sport+ is rendered useless when you're tuned?

well I mean how good would a tune be if you could just increase the throttle response they were supposed to give you just by flipping a switch.

its like so to say. just because you bought a premium with a sport + switch my car will now never have the same throttle response your car does just because you have that switch.

Actually from what I heard, tuning your car does NOT render the modes useless. They act just as they would on the stock tune. When I flip mine to sport + it feels different than normal mode and I'm tuned

The modes still work period,if ur tuned put ur car in wet/snow and let me know how it feels.About affecting stability trac control, tuners can fine adjust them but its up to u if u want them to full with them parameters. Its a fine line when tuning stabilty control, most guys have clutch protection turned off which helps with alot of the launch issues.

Do we know which tuners (canned tunes) mess with stability and traction control? I'm speaking from a place of extreme ignorance, so this may sound stupid, but --I'm always reading how after a tune, drivers are more able to "chirp" or spin their tires. I'm wondering if that's a function of the added power or that the tunes are messing with traction control. Theoretically, if they don't mess with traction control and just add power, the stability control system should compensate for that, right?

is there a speed governor in our cars?

can this be disabled by a tune if so?

There is a top speed limiter in the stock calibration. A custom tune will remove it.

Most of the canned tunes are very minimal changes, thats why its good to talk to the vendors on this site and let them know exactly what ur looking for.I did custom tunning and my tuners made three changes to my tune to make me HAPPY!!!!.But any of these guys can get u set up but it will probably take a couple of tweaks here and their to get what u want.
