Tune question

So you can buy three different tunes for the GT from Ford.The best one is an increase of 30 + horsepower.From what understand it has the GT350 intake and a tune.Isn't that what the Bullitt has?If so it’s a 20 hp increase.So if you installed the Ford tune,and intake on a stock GT you would get a 30hp increase.Have I missed something?

It's a 30+ hp increase on the gen 2 coyotes from 15-17 which has 435 hp stock, the bullitt uses the gen 3 engine which has 460 stock and the gen 3 intake matches the gt 350 intake in hp so in essence the bullitt only gets the stage 2 kit which is only rated at 23 hp on a gen 2. That would explain the hp difference.

Well technically you could put on the stage 3 power pack and get an aftermarket tune, cause last time I checked ford does not have a tune for the power packs for the 18+ gen 3 coyotes.
Or save yourself about 1500 and just get a stage 2 kit because the intake manifolds flow very similar #'s and make virtually the same hp.

One other thing, the 18+ intakes have a steeper angle where the throttle body mounts and not all CAI's are flexible enough to make the bend, that may be why ford used the GT 350 intake on the bullitt even tho there are virtually no gains over the stock 18+ intake.
