What are the specs of those VMB9's in the image please? And would you happen to have any images of them on a Shadow Black 'vert ?

Wheels are on my list when my GT 'vert arrives in the U.K. in a few weeks!

Thanks

Mike
The guys Velgen beat me to it lol, my apologies for that its been a busy day fully of Shelbies and S550s at the shop.

On that particular car we had the 20" setup in Gunmetal
20 x 10.5 Rear with a 45mm offset
20 x 9 Front with a 32mm offset
Thanks guys !

So I'm tossing up between TSW Bathurst and VMB9.

Over here in Australia, the VMB are c.$600 more than the TSW.

Doing research on the manufacturing, TSW are Rotary Forged whilst VMB are Low-Pressure Cast. So based on the net, TSW should be better manufactured.

Thus not only are TSW cheaper, they are technologically superior?

What are people's thoughts/opinion please?
Pick whichever you like better.

I ran one set of TSW's on 2 different road course S197 Mustangs for 5 years, and they were inexpensive, lightweight, and held up great. I was extremely pleased with them. Chose them over Enkei because of their price, and had no regrets.

Yeh. looking at same, either TSW Bathurst or Velgen VMB9..... both types in Gunmetal for my Ruby Red GT when it arrives. Does anybody have pics of Ruby Red with VMB9 in Gunmetal......have not been able to find.

Velgen Out of curiosity, are warranties transferable to second owners?

I'm biased, but I'd pick TSW. The Bathursts are very light for their size, and are relatively cheap. The velgens look nice, and while I haven't seen the weights for the velgen wheels, I wouldn't be surprised if they're 5-10 lbs heavier than the TSWs.

TSW has the right balance of affordability, strength and weight, and style.

Before you fit a set of heavy, cast wheels to your car, please have a quick read of Gibbos wheel review here: post #1370 specifically.

Lik you, I love the look of the Velgens, but light-weight is king, which is why I'm still waiting for my 6GR's to appear...
Thanks for that Burkey and plc268!

Yeah the Velgens look good... but I agree the weight and the fact they cost MORE than forge wheels is killing me head :frusty:
Burkey - Do you know how the Project G6R are manufactured? Can't find anything on their website.
