Trunk lid drain holes?

I guess I'm not as observant as I thought. Just noticed a hole in each upper corner of the trunk lid that shows debris. There is a clear sticker over them. Is it (the sticker) meant to be there?

The stickers are on from new.

Yours look to be stuck on straight and reasonably well, mine weren’t … lol

After nearly three years mine are still clear and debris free - do you have a trunk spoiler or anything else that could be letting dirt / water / debris in there ?

Rust? Yikes, that motivated me. Peeled the stickers, fished around in there with a wet q-tip, and it's just a couple tiny crumbs. Maybe from when I was installing a pull closing strap. Taped them back shut.

Because mine had been stuck on at the factory by a blindfolded child, I replaced them :

If you want to retain the factory look, find some bicycle PPF frame protection patches

Not aluminum but that’s the rust bits from nuts and bolts and the steel clamps that holds the Decklid. You can take yours apart and see what other bits are there apart from aluminum.
