yes they seems ok. But you know, with chinese stuff is always a lottery :D
The important thing is to buy cheap stuff so in case they are not ok for you, you have lost only a few euros..

theoretically yes, in fact I bought a 5050 led strip :) but then they were less bright than a 5630 strip I already have..
But you are right, 5050 should be better!

(Just FYI, these 'codes' are simply the leds size: 5050 is a 50mm x 50mm led, 5630 is a 56mm x 30mm and so on)

Let the light shine !! :D

Finally, after 4 weeks of waiting (), the LED stripes arrived today

Link to the LED ($ 6.63) :

For the connection between the stripes, I found some Solderless Clip-on Coupler, no too expensive, and went to order 5 of them :

Link to the Solderless Clip-on Coupler (You need the : 5050 10mm 2pin L Shape) ($ 2.16 for 5pcs) :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/28184806130...49&var=580828734473&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

After you ordered all this, let the fun begin.

Estimation of the installation time for me (pictures included :D) : Around 45 minutes

Now, some before/after picture, and these are true pictures, the difference is amazing !! :eyebulge:

Before/After :

Solderless Clip-on Coupler :

Thanks again papinist for giving me such crazy ideas !! :paddle: :headbonk: :clap2:

Update with the connection :

I used some AMP Superseal contact I had in house to make the connection. Link for example : http://www.ebay.com/itm/10pcs-AMP-S...026925?hash=item3ab151bbed:g:89MAAOxydB1SnJr0

I crimp the AMP Superseal contacts to the cables that cames with the LED stripe, then plugged everything together. And yes, then just maked a continuous loop using lengths of LED strip and the solderless connectors together.

Isolated everything with electrical tape :

And hide everything in the OEM hole in the 'roof' :

:D yes, a 6 lux one
Sooo... I found mine... it's in the side wall opposite the sub on the convertibles... it's really not lighting up anything at all :D

I also see you all have speakers in the "roof" of the trunk... huh, wonder where those are on my car - must go take a look now :)

(yes I admit to not knowing much more of my car than what I have from the driver's seat :D I spend waaaay to much time there ;) )

Very good job mate (as always :D)
You have done the complete perimeter, so even more light, very nice! I've seen the solderless clips but haven't found some cheap ones (yours are cheap!) and I went solder.

The side-by-side comparison is very cool :D

Thanks mate, but you have the credits as you gave me this good idea

The light is now so amazing, even now, when I open the trunk, my entire garage is illuminated :eyebulge:

John577 how are you attaching to the OEM connector? Did you solder a wire to one end of the light strip that plugs into the OEM connector and then just make a continuous loop using lengths of LED strip and the solderless connectors?

Thanks
