Just goes to show how important it is to find a good dealer for service.
The closest Ford dealer to me is less than 2 miles away. They have a Mustang specialty tech, but the service advisor assigned his best electrical tech to my car for this problem.
I was allowed to be in the service area, demonstrate to him that the symptom comes and goes with trunk opening angle, and then watch him do the repair. I think I tipped him some lunch money.
