So sense pics never really give us the effectof the tricoat. How was the color in person? Haven't heard much about it from an in person review. I have TY on order and can't wait to see it

It was the first TY I've seen in person, and I was impressed! The color is "deeper" than it looks in pictures. I think you'll like it. I also really liked the 50th Anniversary wheels, they look much more 3-dimensional in person. If I could get the PP with these wheels, I would.

I really wanted to buy this car, but I'm a little leery about this example -- the driver's side rocker panel is noticeably off ( to me at least, and I'd notice it every time I got into the car ), and the spoiler appears to be slightly lighter in color for some reason.

I have the tri coat blaze gold done in 2012. The spoiler I'm betting is different material so it will do that. On my blaze the rear panels are a diff shade then the top especially when dirty. The door just needs to be adjusted and they can do that at the dealership.

It's not the door, it's aligned fine. It's the rocker panel itself -- it sticks out a hair by the front wheel opening, and doesn't reach to the rear wheel opening by a hair. It's as if the whole rocker panel was installed a mm or two too far forward -- see pic. They would have to fix this before I'd take delivery.

Interesting about the different materials and the paint color. The paint was fine on all the other panels, even the bumpers which are a different material as well.

So in theory - if my Mustang, or anyone else's arrived like this - would you "take delivery" and pay for the car, or is there a way to refuse due to the flawed assembly and "request" another be built properly?

I think I'd just have the body shop loosen the bolts/screws for the rocker panel and adjust it and be gone with my new car

Yellow is one of the hardest colors to see correctly on screen, but Triple Yellow is fairly close to how it is in person. Maybe a bit darker.

Triple Yellow is darker than Zinc Yellow(2000-2003), but lighter than Yellow Blaze(2011-2012).

I think this is being a bit nit-picky to be honest; it looks like it lines up on the front end, so I'm not sure that it was installed improperly, and I don't really know what they could do to fix it. This is an assembly line car, and the gaps and fitment look pretty good to me generally. To my eyes this is an acceptable level of 'imprecision' so to speak, but to each their own.

I'd agree with you if the passenger's side rocker panel looked the same, but it doesn't -- it's spot on.

I would hope the dealer could take care of it.

I checked out a GT at another dealer, and it had the same type of fitment on the driver's side ( forgot to check the pass side ). I got to sit in the GT ( base ) and play with the seat, shifter, pedals, etc. and man....... I REALLY want to take a test drive soon. It fit me perfectly.

i saw a triple yellow gt pass by my work a couple times today. Turns out, the ford dealer across the street got one in! I snuck in to take a peak and snapped some pictures. This color looks so much better in person! Pictures do it no justice!!

My TY moved into production today. Really wanna see this in person sense it's prob like the blaze yellow and pics never tell the true color
