If you have seen the other couple of threads I have made you know I hit a tow hitch back in June and it did quite a bit of damage underneath the car.
Only having the car a very short time I did a quick google search and found the manual release to get the car in neutral so it could be pulled up on the tow truck.
I didn’t know there is a procedure for this and didn’t Follow the “owner supplement” procedure correctly. Once released I also turned the ACC on and moved the gear selector and steered it onto the roll back.
car is almost finished but it will not come out of park. The technician (at ford dealer) had reset the manual release and/or reattached the shift linkage (if it needed to be) but it won’t come out of park.
Any ideas?
