You'll be okay as long as you use the correct track wrap (e.g. tacky but no residue and at least 5mm thick for best protection). When you peel it off just carefully work "with" the edge of the oem stripes, not against it... below is a previous pic prior to ppf.

Great thanks - will work my magic tomorrow morning then. Btw can I just cross the gap between hood and fender or should it remain open for cooling purposes? I want to tape the whole front on the way to the clear bra installer

Yeah you can... just keep the functional vents UN-taped.

I can't even begin to tell you how much of a PITA it was to tape that up. After the second time doing this my wife said the PPF sounded like a GREAT idea no matter the cost! LOL
