I'll say this. People still swarm the car when ever it's at a car show. Me and the wife were at a show last night that probably had 6-800 cars and the attention our GT got was crazy.

I've also just made the switch from the ecoboost to the GT. I loved my ecoboost, but I just couldn't handle the lack of sound and the way it died off so quickly at higher rpms. The GT isn't much faster 0-60, at least I haven't been able to get more than .3 seconds faster using the track apps, but unlike the ecoboost, the GT just keeps on pulling. And that sound. Well worth the extra money for that alone in my opinion. The one thing I do miss about the ecoboost is it felt easier to roast the tires in that than it does in the 5.0 (obviously without the use of line lock). I'm not sure if this is because I have 19s now on the GT and the 3.55 rear end, whereas I had 18s on the ecoboost and 3.31, but I find it strange.

Either way, can't go wrong with either, they're both awesome cars.

What tires on both cars? Was your EB tuned? The torque is much higher on a tuned EB than a stock GT. The torque is one thing i will miss from my EB for sure, but like you said that sound and power till redline is what will make me smile

Just the stock tires that come on the base premium wheels for the ecoboost and the stock tires that come on the 19" dark stainless aluminum wheels for the GT. I believe they're both pirelli P Zero Nero all-season tires. The EB wasn't tuned. I don't know for sure, but I was thinking maybe the torque just builds a lot quicker on the ecoboost than it does on the GT.

Another difference is I have had a hard time noticing a difference between the normal/sport+/track driving modes on the GT whereas on the ecoboost if I was driving and switched modes, I would feel the car surge forward when moving from normal to sport+/track without changing pedal position. Hasn't really been an issue since the GT has power EVERYWHERE, but just a difference I've noticed.

Ya, everytime I start the car I get a huge grin on my face :D:ford:
