I don't get the whole drag radials for the street. I guess in TX. you could get probably away with it. Noway you could run drag's in the Northeast as daily's. At least not safely.

Absolutely but he said he wants something for track that he can use on the street also, didn't say he was looking for a daily tire. I would never daily a car with drag radials.

Agreed, but on the street you can't exactly throw on some "regular" tires when you hit a storm you are not expecting. lol But again, with OP being in Texas... rain storms are a lot less frequent than other area's, so I guess the chances are greatly reduced of hitting an in-prompt-to down pour. I am in Pittsburgh PA. and when the weather says 1% chance of rain, that really means 50/50 at all times lol

I used a 600hp car as a dd with great succes on Nitto 555r even in rainy condition, you just need to be carefull with the throttle but they work better then Nt05r which I didnt test my self but a friends car

So what do you guys think would hook better if I get called out on the street , the 17x10 wheels with a Hoosier 28x10x17 or the Rtr 10.5 x 19 with a Nitto Nt05r 305/35-19

For the strip Im leaning towards beefcake recommendation(hoosier 28x10x17)

So what front tire to go with? My car wiggles its tail with these hoosier slicks and Ive been told that I should use skinnies to help cure that?

If it is a track setup on the manual I would go with the 28x10x17 hoosier slick and a 28x4.5x17 or 18 M&H Bias ply skinny. The bias ply skinny will make the car much more stable. The drag radials are nice but you have to slip the clutch to get the best 60ft. With the drag radial it is also much easier to get violent wheel hop.

This the exact setup I run at the track. Almost 800 rwhp and have yet to have any traction issues. (At the track)

I have set of nto5's I run on the street and when they are shot going back to the Mickey Thompson drag radials.

I run F19x10 R19x11 MMR 350s with a rear 320/30/19. Huge tire, lots of patch and traction.

Everyone says you have to have slicks, well no one likes driving on the street on slicks. You can get away fine with a DR, just slip the clutch a bit and don't dump it, that's how all these guys break stuff. I've been fine for ever with mine, granted its a 12 but still. Used pros, SS's, and M&H. M&H are the best for the street imo, hook great and have a decent bit of tread, I've been in the rain a few times no issues, granted I go slow and am safe..but still
